Croustifrance inaugurates its second site in Arras
Belgian food group Vandemoortele recently opened a second plant in Arras to produce pre-baked frozen bread. Built at a cost of €43 million in the Actiparc industrial zone, this
currently has a single production line and turns out baguettes for markets in Northern Europe, the Paris area and Northern France. It employs a workforce of 36. “A second production line will be added in 2011, raising annual output to 28,000 tons and staff to 50. A third line will boost that to 40,000 tons and 70 employees,” says Jean Vandemoortele.
