Focus on foreign languages
Historically, due to its location at the crossroads of North Western Europe countries and due to the development of major industrial sectors with high recruitment flows, Northern France has welcomed many foreign residents.
Northern France offers a wide range of training programs stressed on foreign languages or including 1 or 2 foreign languages as compulsory option or free secondary subject. English is the main foreign language selected by students – mainly as a 1st foreign language -, followed by Spanish and German.
