Hygena chooses Arras site for nationwide logistics

Hygena is to centralize all its logistic operations in France at a business park in Arras. In time, the site is expected to employ 80 people.

Hygena, which makes kitchen units for distribution throughout France, is reorganizing its supply chain. And as part of the move, the company has decided to centralize all its French logistic operations at the Artoipole business park developed by the Arras area council.

It thus recently took a lease for a minimum of six years on the whole of a 19,000 sq.m. building adjoining the motorway from Paris to Lille. The site is to take over from some 25 platforms scattered across France.

Hygena is a subsidiary of Sweden’s Nobia , a company listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Its Arras site will employ around 80 people, including 20 transferred from other sites and 60 new recruits.

Hygena reports net sales of EUR 220 million in France, with some 150 outlets ensuring nationwide reach. It also has four stores in Spain.
